Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, AFS, Chakeri, Kanpur came into existence on 17th August, 1981 and since then; it is forwarding the motto of oneness and aiming at higher achievements in every field by following the objectives of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO. 2 CHAKERI is a co-educational school which cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education.

Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO. 2 CHAKERI has an educational policy that is dynamic in approach and in accordance with the changing needs of the society.
